Overview
Purpose of the Office of the Premier
The Premier serves as the President of the Executive Council (Cabinet) of the Government of British Columbia. As head of the
government and Cabinet, the Premier leads and coordinates the work of Ministers, ministries and agencies of government. The
Office of the Premier works closely with Cabinet and government members, all ministries and Crown agencies to support their
work and to ensure coordination across government.

future.
Mission
The Office of the Premier provides leadership across government and Crown agencies to ensure timely decision-making and effective
service delivery, supported by transparency and accountability of government practices, and positive intergovernmental relations.
