Budget Transparency and Accountability Act.

As required by section 24(3) of the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act (BTAA), this statement is to provide the reasons for the Minister of Finance recommending the following:

New Exemptions from Service Plan Requirements

A regulation has been enacted under which the Private Career Training Institutions Agency is exempted from the application of section 13 (service plans) of the BTAA, as this government organization is being wound up in 2015/16 and its responsibilities transferred to the Ministry of Advanced Education.
