Performance Measures Discontinued from
Previous Service Plan

As part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to fine-tune and streamline performance measures, in order to focus on the few critical aspects of performance, the following measures have been discontinued from the previous Service Plan (2004/05–2006/07).

Percentage of public school parents who report they can play a meaningful role in their child's education

Percentage of public school parents and students satisfied with their child's school and education

Addressed by formation of School Planning Councils and legislation allowing parents the right to volunteer in child's school. A survey on School Planning Councils is available on The Society for the Advancement of Excellence in Education's website: http://www.saee.ca
